"Cultivating Innovation in Technology"

The Canadian Telecommunications Consultants Association (CTCA) has members that are independent telecommunications and information technology consultants, who serve clients in business, industry, service organizations, and government.

This upcoming Spring Conference will provide CTCA members the information they need, on the latest breaking applications, technologies, regulations and standards to provide a high level of value to their clients.

Speakers selected to present at the CTCA conference have the opportunity to network between consultants, end users and industry leading vendors, in an atmosphere of collaboration and creativity. It's a fertile ground for the foundation of strategic alliances, joint ventures and creative partnerships.

Individuals wishing to provide a presentation on either April 8th or 9th should carefully read this Call for Speakers and adhere to the guidelines outlined.

SLG Members' submissions will be for April 7th.

All accepted presentations will be available to all CTCA Spring Conference and IT360° Conference & Expo delegates and will be marketed to over 80,000 readers of IT World Canada Publications.

CONFERENCE FORMAT

The CTCA Spring Conference Chair is Allan Bly.

Your on-line submission will go to the Conference Chair and Conference Director.

Session Format: 50-60 minute seminars and panel discussions, 3-hour tutorials, 6-hour (1-day clinics), certification programs.

CRITERIA FOR ACCEPTANCE

Neutrality


Presenters must be product/service neutral and can not be biased to a specific brand.

Presentation Experience


The speaker must have recognized qualifications relating to the subject. Industry end users, analysts, and authors with references from previous presenting experience(s) in a similar environment have first priority.

Timeliness

To ensure that the conference has timely, relevant and unique content, we require that you do not present the same material at a similar conference or to a similar attendee base in the regions of Ontario and Quebec, Canada, 60 days before and 60 days after IT360°. Presentation Materials

Proceedings of the conference sessions will be available electronically and as a printed handout. Speakers must agree to submit all materials by March 1, 2008. Presentation materials are limited to a maximum of 15 pages. There will be 80+ sessions, many running concurrently, therefore we do not have the capability to duplicate materials on show site. The name of the speaker, company and contact information may be included on the first page or slide of a PowerPoint presentation. Corporate logos cannot be on subsequent pages or slides.

Speaker Substitution

In the case of an unforeseen emergency the speaker must agree to work with the conference director and chairs to find a substitute that is equally qualified to speak about the subject. Substitutions are subject to the conference director's approval.

Notification Of Acceptance

Speakers whose submissions are accepted will be contacted we regret that we cannot contact all those that make submissions.

Due to the unreliability of electronic delivery, we recommend that you contact our office to ensure that we have received your submission. We cannot be responsible for submissions that we do not receive.

The information you provide will be the content posted and printed in our marketing materials. Maximum word length 125 words. Abstracts that extend this limit will be edited by the conference director.
Please include:
  • Description of the issue(s) to be discussed whether it is a case study, research study etc. Describe the value of the information, what benefit will the attendee receive
  • Identify the target professional that will most benefit from the session.
  • Bullet items identifying what the attendee will learn.
  • Include any pre-requisite knowledge that is needed.
  • Include any hand outs that will be offered.
  • The description must be unbiased to any product or company.
  • Include what is new or innovative about the subject.
